ONGC GT Exam 2012-Eligibility Criteria:
Oil and natural gas corporation,commonly known as ONGC is a indian based oil & gas company located at Dehradun,India.ONGC GT exam 2012 will be held on 07th, October for 889 vacancies.Freshers,Electrical Engineers,Electronic Engineers,Mechanical Engineers,Petroleum Engineers,Civil Engineers,Chemical Engineers,Mechanical Engineers,Computer science Engineers and other graduates can apply for ONGC Graduate Trainee Recruitment 2012.
Engineering Freshers are eligible to apply for ONGC careers
MBBS candidates can apply for Medical posts
MCA and MBA Post graduate candidates also can apply for these Jobs.
Below,we listed the detailed post wise education qualifications required and eligibility for ONGC GT Exam 2012
1.For Geology: Candidates must have post graduate degree in Geology or M.SC/M.Tech in Petroleum with 60% of marks
2.For Geophysics (Surface): Candidates must have 60% of marks in post graduate degree in Geophysics or Physics with Electronics
3.For Geophysics (Wells): Candidates must have 60% of marks in post graduate degree in Geophysics or Physics with Electronics
4.For Reservoir: Candidates must have post graduate degree in Geology / Physics /Geophysics / Mathematics / Chemistry / Petroleum Technology or first class graduate degree in Chemical / Petroleum Engineering with 60% marks
5.For Chemistry: Candidates must have 60% of marks in graduate degree in Chemical Engineering or first class post graduate degree in Chemistry
6.For Programming: Candidates must have 60% of marks in graduate degree in Computer Engineering or first class post graduate in Computer Applications (MCA)/ Computer Science or B level diploma
7.For Production: Candidates must have 60% of marks in graduate degree in Chemical / Mechanical / Petroleum Engineering
8.For Drilling: Candidates must have 60% of marks in graduate degree in Mechanical / Petroleum Engineering is required.
9.For Cementing: Candidates must have 60% of marks in graduate degree in Mechanical / Petroleum Engineering
10.For Mechanical: Candidates must have 60% of marks in Mechanical Engineering
11.For Electrical:Candidates must have 60% of marks in Electrical Engineering
12.For E&T: graduate degree in Electronics / Telecom / E&T Engineering or first class post graduate degree in Physics with Electronics with 60% marks
13.For Instrumentation: graduate degree in Instrumentation Engineering with 60% marks
14.For Civil: graduate degree in Civil Engineering with 60% marks
15.For Transport: MBA or Auto/Mechanical Engineering with 60% marks
16.For Finance & Accounts: Graduate degree with ICWA / CA or first class MBA with specialization in Finance
17.For HR: 60% marks in MBA with Management/HRD/HRM
18.For MM: Candidates must have Engineering graduate in Computer Science/Electrical/Electronics/Telecom/E&T/Chemical/Petroleum/Auto mobiles/Instrumentation with 60% marks or MBA with specialization
19.For Medical: Candidates must have MBBS with registration
20. For Security: Post graduate degree with 2 years’ service with Armed Forces or Central Police Organization

no, i think 1 year pg diploma is not accepted by ongc they require full time pgdbm /mba degree .

I have just passed my PGDM( Post Graduate Diploma in Management) which is equivalent to an MBA in the fields of Marketing , Retailing & Merchandsing as its a dual specialization with 79% marks. Am i eligible to apply for ONGC trainee exam ?? I have a doubt that do they strictly need the MBA degree as such or PGDM passed out candidates can also apply for the post ??
