Cutoff marks for IBPS bank PO and clerical exams
In IBPS abank PO and clerical exams,cut off marks/score will depend on
1.numbet of students taken the exam
2.number of students qualified
3.number of posts
4.Difficulty of exam paper
Depending upon the above mentioned 4 factors,cutoff marks will decide.
Ibps cut off marks/score 70%/60%?
According to experts,ibps exam very huge competetion exam,across india,so many students taking this exam,so if you get 70% of marks that is 70% of 250 marks=175, you will definetly get job in any of 19 banks notification.7o% of marks guaranteed you job in first notification.
If IBPS exam paper was very tough
You need to get 60 to 65% of marks mean 140-145 marks results you job.
60% of marks(140 MARKS) also offer you job?
Actually this is a common written test for bank jobs in 19 banks.Let say indian bank given the notification for jobs,then 70% score students will get job in indian bank
Also if ANDHRA BANK release notification for jobs,then 68% of marks students will get the job in andhra bank.
So if you very lucky,then 5 to banks will release notification for jobs means then 60% of marks students have chances to get the job in of 19 banks.
If 2 or more than 2 students will get same score ,than first preference will give to senior that is age,if it’s also equal then will look score in english section,like that they have certain procedure to select the students

If a candidate is selected for the post, can he select the bank from 19 banks nearer to his native place?
If you get good score,in 19 banks you can select any one,which you like and it’s not possible to give posting at your native place,but after joining in bank,you have option to shift from 1 place to other place by mutual understanding between you and bank/other person,who working in that place.

sir i hav one doubt do the negative marks calculate for each section seperately or on the whole marks secured plz let me know…
Negative marks will calculate based on wrong answers in each section,ex; if your wrong answers in computer knowledge are 16, then according to ibps exam pattern,for every wrong answer,0.25 negative marks,so in final score of computer knowledge 4 marks will be minimize.They will not calculate over all

Even I have cleared the IBPS PO / MT EXAM but it is too premature to talk about cut off and all that, at least for GENERAL category guys… reservation sc/st guys…hahahaha … you don’t even need to worry..the GOVT jobs are all sitting and awaiting you… INDIA is great… My happiest moment when I got to see that I am successful on my own strength and not “Bheek” or reservation and relaxation of Govt…. it is good… Best of luck to all…

The IBPS will use Linear Conversion Method to convert the score of each candidate (after factoring with negative marks, if any) into a standardized score. Each candidate will have to cross a minimum standardized score to be eligible for participation in the recruitment process of any banks – to be eligible to get a score card. The formula for Cut Off will be as follows.
Average – ¼ standard deviation for General Category
Average – ¾ standard deviation for Reserved Category

is there sectional cut off in clerical exam?
No one knows what will be the pattren of selection by individual banks. Most likely, all those having graduation with 60% and score of above/arround 155 (GC), 145 (OBC), 135 (SC) and 120 (ST) may get call for inteveiw. Further, the banks coming out with vacancies earlier, say in march/april may grab cream and those coming later but before the result of next exam (Aug/Sep) may compromise with the candidates with lower scores. So, dont panic and believe the grapewines. Nothing is clear as yet.

In how many banks can we apply? Is there any limitation? Is it true that we can apply in maximum 3 banks? Please reply urgently. As 3 bank’s recruitment is open, so if there is no limit I would like to apply to them all.. and will apply in future openings as well. But if there is limit, than I need to think before applying.

in all other recuitment online, there is provision of Edit/modify except Bank of India
online recruitment. Since the last date is 31.01.2012, they have to ask their programmer
to incorporate the Edit feature .
This will help number of candidates to modify their data if wrongly fed by mistake.
