How many Candidates Passed/Cleared Ibps po exam 2011?It’s a commonly asked question from students,who taking/taken ibps po exam .We know that about 10 lakhs candidates taken this exam,among them only 111993 Candidates cleared this exam.Really these numbers shows the difficulty of question paper.Only 10% of candidates cleared the ibps po exam.The upcoming ibps po notification 2012 for po will release shortly,candidates need to work hard for upcoming clerk and po exams 2012.
Many Candidates did not prepared for this common written exam for bank po,because of lack of information and first time conducted across India.Now many candidates got experience and have the minimum idea on ibps exams,really this experience will be help them to crack next exams.

The IBPS will use Linear Conversion Method to convert the score of each candidate (after factoring with negative marks, if any) into a standardized score. Each candidate will have to cross a minimum standardized score to be eligible for participation in the recruitment process of any banks – to be eligible to get a score card. The formula for Cut Off will be as follows.
Average – ¼ standard deviation for General Category
Average – ¾ standard deviation for Reserved Category
I want to knw that when the bank notify their vacancies, is they set different cut off again for different categories………as the scores are already calculated on the basis of category……

As you belong sc catagory there is a slight chance to get selected. However, you may pull your socks up for the interview. You my get selected in the banks which will advertise latter on
you apply for the bank. dont lose hope, definitely they will call you if you has been shortlisted. they are calling candidates in the ratio of 1:5 for sc/st candidates. better you prepare for interview.

It will be really unfortunate if inspite of scoring good score in IBPS, you are not getting opportunity to appear in the final selection process . The management of Banks should review their criteria in line with the criteria adopted by IBPS for the Common Written Test.

You have secured 44.22% marks in your graduation which is very less, till now all the banks notification requires 55 % in graduation. Since there are 19 banks therefore may be you get a chance which is very less.

Its good that u hv decided to try ur luck in Banking Sector. As u know that now except SBI and SBI Associates, all other 19 PSB r recruiting through a Common writeen exam conducted by IBPS. These exams will be held Twice in a year for both Clerical Cadre and PO. Next IBPS PO notification will come soon( January end or February) and exam will be held in April 2012 most likely. Check d website regularly(www.ibps.in). Eligibility Criteria- A graduate degree from any recognised University, Age- 20 to 30 yrs( Relaxation for SC, ST, OBC). Now your other query about SBI PO. Right now there is no vacancy notification, check the website of sbi(Recruitment section or Employment News) regularly. Eligibility is the same as mentioned above. One notable thing is that banks are free to set criteria for interview i.e. age- minimum 21 yrs. and Graduation %- minimum 55% etc. For written ther is no such criteria. Specially for SBI, only Graduation is required. So, go ahead, prepare for the best. Try to crack IBPS PO 2012. My Best Wishes for ur great future.

What is this going on,IBPS has given only the numbers(weighted score) and noting other details like rank.We have no idea that how many candidates are there who have secured more marks than a number aceived by a candidate.So he have to apply all the banks with their criteria,without knowing the fact that either he will be selected or not. It is just wastage of money nothing else.

there are about 1,10,000 candidate who qualify the cwe exam but the 19 public sector banks takes only 45000 candidates. it is not possible to take the interview of all the candidate so there should be ranking system so that we did not waste our money in this type of monopoly system.because i fiil the form of all the bank in which opening. but i do’nt get any acknowledgement form any bank………….

Friends keep patience, as bank will start selecting candidates the cut off of upcoming bank will fall, so people below the toppers will get chance to face interview, also number is very small against total vacancy, so keep patience…

I Abhinay.C.Patil had cleared IBPS Bank Po Exam but not being able to apply for respective Banks PO recruitment as my graduate percentage are below eligibility criteria of 50% in case of OBC category.Whts the use of passing such exam?there was not such criteria being posed by IBPS PO Advertisement,then why these respective Banks are not following as per IBPS criteria standards?I am very much upset about this fact.Please consider my matter seriously.
is there any alternative for it?I had secured 65% in HSSC and currently pursuing my MBA with 55%.Please help me out of these as soon as possible.

I got 175 marks in PO exam but till date I am not able to apply for any of the Bank as all bank required 55%-60% in graduation which I donot have. If all banks requirement is like that only then why IBPS also had not set the Cut off Marks in graduation to appear in CWE. Previously I ahd appeared for some PO exam that time they had not ask this type of % and in some case they ask % either60% in graduation or in Master Degree. Moreover PNB requires 60% in graduation for MT, but not in MBA.

A request to IBPS please set a cut off marks based on the bank requirement as we donot want to waste our money and time if we are not eligible for PO/MT. As for us this exam is nothing but a waste of Time and Money.

let me inform u all !! at the time of ibps po advertisement the notification was as follows :
quantitative — 50
reasoning– 50
general awareness — 50
computer — 50
english — 50
eng descriptive –50 (candidates require only to qualify).. but the results show the average score of eng. i.e eng objective + descriptive/2
now my point is that i did score 41 in objective n 27 in descriptive !! this is serious blunder instead of my score getting a 41 in english i m left out with 34 (41+27/2) u can c i lost a very vital 7 marks !!
who is to b blamed for it i did write the descriptive paper as per the ibps guidelines merely for qualifying n now suffer with a score of 146 instead of 153 god help me !!

IBPS new recruitment strategy is simply playing with the career, patience, time and money of struggling students. IBPS has selected 1.10 lakhs of students through the common entrance exam of 19 public sector banks. These 19 banks are giving recruitment notification with their desired cut off score in IBPS in a random order. Now suppose if a bank specifies a cut off of 140 marks then all students with a score of 140 marks will be prompted to apply for the recruitment but banks will shortlist the upper scorer candidates among all who have applied, and there are nil chances for the students with 140 marks or nearby to be selected. Every bank is doing same thing i.e setting a cut off score and selecting the high score candidates, lower the cut off of a bank, higher will be the number of candidates applying, but bank will be selecting only the top list candidates and the bank will be making more profit via the large number of Demand Drafts. Its good that more deserving candidates are shortlisted for interview but what is more ironical is that through this process a range of high scoring candidates will be applying for all recruitment notifications unless he got the final result of a bank .Only high score candidates will be shortlisted by a number of banks and chances are there that they will be selected in multiple banks but obviously finally they will be joining one bank and wasting all other seats in other banks which could have been offered to some other student. Now if we look at the figures there will be on average 900 vacancies per bank, this implies a total of 19000 vacancies in 19 banks. If approx. 4500 students are called by a bank for 900 posts, then many of these 4500 might be shortlisted for other banks too, with this overlapping only upper 20000 students will be called in multiple banks ….. 19000 seats then what for 1.10 lakh-19000 = 90000 students, they will only be wasting Rs 200 x 19 = 3800/-(per student) and a profit of 3800×9000=342000000(34crores) to IBPS……students will be simply tortured…..what was the need of selecting 1.10 lakhs of the students as every student will be applying for the bank in which his cut off is cleared, they are merely doing business out of this recruitment…………

My Score Card is 156, 10th – 85%, 12th – 67 – Science, Graduation – 68%. So do i need to worry about my selection.
Anju, your chances depends on the category you belong. This score and graduation percentage seems to be good for a candidate belonging to SC/ST category. If you belong to the above category, then you have fair chances to be selected/receive call for interview.
